About the Author
John Lane is a painter, writer, and educator. He is a former chairman of the Dartington Hall Trust, founding director of the Beaford Arts Centre, and was instrumental in the creation of Schumacher College. His previous books include The Living Tree: Art and the Sacred, The Spirit of Silence: Making Space for Creativity, Timeless Beauty in the Arts and Everyday Life, and Timeless Simplicity: Creative Living in a Consumer Society.
